About Kyuu

九, kyuu, means nine in Japanese, and the name is personal. Between the three of us, we have nine kids. Kyuu is something we're building for them, a place we hope to pass down for generations.

It started with a trip to Japan. We tried drinks everywhere we went, and nothing stayed with us like the matcha. We came home wanting to share that feeling, so we built a cafe around ceremonial matcha, signature lattes and a full kitchen, right here on Van Dyke Avenue in Shelby Township.
